About Treatment

Thai yoga massage is whole body treatment, from feet to head. 

It is performed on a mat on the floor.

Duratation is one and a half to two hours.

It is recommended to come for a treatment dressed in comfortable clothing which allows ease of movement and flexibility.  Loose clothing helps facilitate joint movements such as flexion and extension, rotations and bending moves.

Try to avoid eating at least two hours before your massage session.

About Thai Massage

Traditional Thai Massage is ancient art of healing that has its roots in the Indian systems of Yoga and Ayurveda. It is called Nuad Borarn in Thailand, the word "Nuad" means "Ancient", "Borarn" means "Massage".  It is also called Thai Yoga Massage, mostly by western practitioners,  because some of the techniques look like assisted yoga positions.

Styles of Thai Massage

Style of Thi massage may differ significantly from person to person, regardless what official style they practise, but two main (offical) styles in Thai Massage are Southern and Northern.

The Southern style as thoudht at the Wat Pho temple in Bangkok is mostly focused on firm acupressure pressure and vigorous energy lines work.

The Northern style is thought in mainly Chiang Mai and has more stretching techniques and slow and relaxing rythm.


There are ancient Buddhist scripts talking about Dr. Jivago, a man of the greatest medical knowledge of his time, and who was personal physician of Buddha Sakyamuni 2500 years ago. Dr. Jivago is considered to be the founder of Thai Massage, by Thais referred as the "Father Doctor". He is source of inspiration and guide for Thai therapists.
